Math Tutoring

We tutor students from pre-school through adult. Math courses include:

  • Elementary math - traditional or current school curriculum
  • Pre-Algebra
  • Algebra I
  • Geometry
  • Algebra II
  • Trigonometry
  • Pre-Calculus
  • Finite Math
  • Calculus
  • Statistics
  • College Algebra
  • Many specialized math courses

Students come to Math Tutoring for a variety of reasons - some need help with their current school curriculum; others want help preparing for standardized tests, and still others want enrichment programs designed to meet their unique needs and abilities.  During the summer many students come to us for tutoring needed to meet a school requirement, to review material from the past year, or to preview material for their courses in the fall.

We assist students of all ability levels, from remedial to Honors level.  Our math tutors explain and model problems, and they provide practice in each session with additional practice work sent with the student to ensure mastery and retention.  We encourage students to ask questions, to tell the tutor when they are struggling, and to fully participate in the tutoring process.

Tutoring is supervised by a full-time math supervisor, giving every student the benefit of at least two math professionals planning and conducting his or her sessions.

Parents receive periodic progress reports and are encouraged to share their concerns and goals with us.

Students interested in improving their fundamental computation skills and critical thinking skills may enroll in our Math Masters Program.

"Bobby had his final exam last week in Geometry.  He got a 'B' on it.  I never would have thought that possible since he started tutoring with a 60% in the class.  Not only has his math grade improved, his whole attitude is better. Thank you and his tutor for everything you have done!"
